State of Emergancy: Good? Bad? Ugly?

Say what you will about GMA. Call her anything applicable--cold, totalitarian, bitch, bastard, ambulatory crisis, tyrant, anything--you got to admit one thing: there's a lot of good to come along with her declaration of the state of emergency. Here're some of them:

The Warrantless Arrests of "Destabilizers"

The Good: Crispin Beltran, Satur Ocampo, Liza Maza, and all the other reds in congress are fnally getting arrested!
The Bad: Arrests made to Atty Llamas and Randy David. They were just negotiating for peaceful exits...
The Ugly: They don't seem bent on executing the demoness behind HB 3773, the heartless Liza Maza :(

No More Rallies!

The Good: No traffic, no chaos along Ayala and EDSA.
The Bad: No freedom of speech.
The Ugly: People don't get it yet. It'll take more than rallies to oust this gov't.

The Fort Bonifacio Standoff

The Good: My students get more time to practice their school plays since classes got called off.
The Bad: GMA's not yet ousted.
The Ugly: My lessons are now hideously delayed.

The Good: She, uhmmm, she... well, I give up. What good is there in her continued existence?

The Ugly: Her sex tape with M*** D*******

The Church's Weak Stance

The Good: They did not support GMA...
The Bad: ...But did not condemn her strongly either
The Ugly: Seriously bishops, she's obviously a crook. Excommunicate her.

Let's just gp thrugh what's been happening in my life lately. Some items will have to be left unsaid, but whatever I can expound on I will.

1) The Stampede (Feb 4, 2006)

-There's been a major stampede leaving 74 dead and over 600 injured last Saturday at the PhilSports Arena. The cause is apparently poor organization. 30,000 people tried to rush into an arena that could hold only half that.

2) Gaming (Again)

-I've been obsessed lately with the Megaman X collection for the PS2. For those not in the know, it's a compilation of my favorite action games from the SNES and PS1 era. Read up on the series it here. You may also wonder where the "Z" from my Z2k1 irc alias came from, well, I based it on this character here, also from the games.

3) Well, I've also been rethinking my career very seriously. More on that later.

Let's cap it at that. More's been happening but I'm not at the freedom to elaborate.
